The 7 best looks of 2021 — and why they matter

To quote Rachel Rodgers, one of the women I LOVE to style:

“How you feel makes you money.”

That means that how you show up and take care of yourself — how you rest, how you nourish yourself, how you find joy, and yes, how you dress — directly affects your success in business and in life.

That’s why style is so important. That’s why style is worth celebrating!

Because when women want to take care of ourselves so we can feel powerful, we are called frivolous. And that is complete and utter nonsense.

Self-care — getting your eyebrows threaded, your hair done, your nails painted, your outfits carefully selected by a pro stylist like me — is a business decision.

Style yourself however you need to, so you can show up feeling confident and go do the thing that’s gonna make you money.

So, without further ado…

Check out Rachel’s 7 best looks from 2021 — these are the fits that had her looking good, feeling good, and growing her bank account throughout the year!

#1 - The host with The MOST

When Rachel told me about The MOST, her weekend mastermind retreat in Los Angeles, I immediately knew that the assignment was to find looks that encapsulated next-level energy, and inspired Rachel and the attendees to show up as their MOST bold + badass selves. No holding back, no apologies.

#2 - The business woman — but not all business

I created this look for some important meetings Rachel had in LA. The whimsical feel of the skirt paired with the tailored structure of the blazer was the perfect dose of effortless fun + biz rolled into one.

#3 - An epic combo for an epic program — The Growth Scale Course

I love love mixing patterns and am always looking to challenge myself in this area, because so often epic combinations are born…this look for Rachel’s Growth Scale Course is definitely one of them!

#4 - A bold look for a bold book

When you’re given a big screen in-store promo opportunity to promote your book by Target, you seize the damn thing! To instantly garner attention, I chose this Chartreuse turtleneck + paired it with this bronze pleated skirt for a bold color-blocking effect.

#5 - Popping on Good Morning America

This was such a fun look to create for Rachel’s Good Morning America book promo appearance. It popped beautifully on camera while being totally stylish yet approachable.

#6 - Owning a Ranch — in style

I love this look so much because for me, this is the moment things began to shift for Rachel as she finally was starting to enjoy clothes and creating a personal style for herself. She began to see how the possibilities were endless in the ways she could express herself and her life’s work with clothes.

#7 - On her horse girl ish!

When a publication came to photograph Rachel + her family for a feature, we showed them what our version of a dope Black cowgirl looks like!

So… which look was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

Stay true to yourself, and keep finding your style.
